As moms, we keep track of a lot of things on a daily basis. School schedules, meals, the laundry status of the only shirt our kid will wear this month... you know what I mean. And don't even get me started on the papers. It can all get overwhelming fast. But it doesn't have to! With the right system, you can get your mom life organized and have everything at your fingertips. And it all starts with creating a family command center.

The Family Command Center
What exactly is a family command center? It's a centralized location where you keep all the information your family needs on a daily basis. Ours is in the kitchen, because like most families, the kitchen is the central meeting point in our home. But you can put it in the laundry room, mud room, or entry way - anywhere that works for you as long as it is accessible and centralized.
There are a lot of ways to organize command centers, and I've pulled together 25 amazing command centers to inspire you. You can create a command center from a nook or wall space, on the counter, or even on the refrigerator. There are ready made command centers that you can buy (we have one that is very similar to this and I love it) or you can make your own. No matter which way you go, there are a few key elements you are going to want to include.

- Calendar - You need to have important dates at a glance. You can use a paper calendar (get a free printable one here), dry erase, or even a chalkboard.
- Meal Plan - Put your weekly meal plan front and center so you're not wondering what's for dinner. Need meal planning help? Here you go!
- Notes - Make sure you have a spot to jot notes to each other, a grocery list, or anything else you need to remember.
- Filing System - Paper clutter is real. Having a system for incoming and outgoing paper, whether by person or subject, is critical to staying organized.
- Odds and Ends - You'll need a place for pens, clips, all those little things that you can never find when you need them.
