Handprint Baseball Father's Day Gift with Free Printable Poem

Make a handprint baseball for Father's Day or a baby keepsake!

We are a big baseball family. This summer, my husband has been having so much fun teaching our boys to throw and catch (they are finally starting to get the idea!). Watching them play gave me an idea for a Father's Day present that would help him to never forget these special days.

Handprint Baseball Keepsake Craft

This craft is really easy to make, so it's a perfect choice if you need a last minute gift.

All you need is:

• Baseball
• Ink Pad - I used black but you can get creative with your favorite team colors.
• Baseball stand (optional for display)

To make the handprint, cover your child's hand in the ink.

Then very gently place their palm on the ball. Wrap their fingers around carefully, or if they are old enough, have them grip the ball. Mine are almost 3 and they were able to do it themselves! You do need to be careful to get a clear print, so you may want to practice a couple of times before doing your actual ball.

All done! Be sure to allow plenty of time for the ink to dry completely so that it doesn't smudge.
