Orphan Train: Moms Book Club for August

I'm so excited to be planning another month of the moms book club with my good friend Meghan at Playground Parkbench! We had so much fun discussing Judy Blume's In the Unlikely Event in July, and we're back with another great selection. I can't wait to check this book out!

August's Mom's Book Nook selection is Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Orphan Train tells the story of a teen and an elderly women who have more in common than they imagine. Set in both modern day Maine and Depression era Minnesota, Orphan Train exposes a little known piece of American history, where East Coast orphans were shipped by trains to the Midwest. A story of friendship and finding your place in the world, Orphan Train promises to be a gripping read.

Join the Club
