It seems like every year I make a New Year's resolution to drink more water. I know it's important for a healthy lifestyle, but I just can't stand drinking plain water. So every year I try and fail by February. This year, to make it impossible for me to forget my New Year's resolution, I've set up a super fun Sparkling Water Station filled with little things to encourage me to drink more water. This year I know I'll succeed and I want to show you how!
I love flavored sparkling water and find that I drink more when I have it at home, but I hate lugging cases in from the store (I'm usually shopping with two toddlers so I have enough to deal with). I also find that most "variety packs" have at least one flavor that I don't like. And of course there's all the waste of empty bottles that I just don't feel good about.
The perfect solution for me is to be able to make my own sparkling water at home, and now I can with my SodaStream Power Automatic Sparkling Water Maker. Make Your Own Sparkling Water Station
Making your own DIY Sparkling Water Station is easy. First, you'll want to start with your SodaStream Power. I love the sleek, sophisticated design of this sparkling water maker and with touch button activation and quick snap-lock bottle insertion, it's really easy to use. You can even choose from one of three different levels of fizz (I like mine really bubbly!). Decide where you'll set up your station - you'll need an outlet nearby for your SodaStream Power.
Next, download my free Be Bubbly - Drink Your Water Printable Sign. I printed mine on card stock and put it on this cute clipboard on the countertop - you can trim it for an 8x10 frame too.
Then you'll need a tray for all of your accessories. I lined an old tray that we already had with chalkboard contact paper so that I could personalize it. Right now it says "Sparkle & Sip!"
Next you need a few SodaStream Sparkling Drink Mixes to personalize your water. I love having variety and there are so many yummy choices! SodaStream Waters are made with all natural sweeteners and colors, and they're a great low calorie option to jazz up your water. I started with Sparkling Gourmet - Green Apple Cucumber, Zeros - Cranberry Raspberry, Sparkling Gourmet - Blackcurrant Lime, and Fruits - Berry Mix.
Next add some glasses and fun straws. I always find that I drink more when I use a straw, so I always try to have cute ones on hand.
I also wanted something to help me keep track of how many glasses I've had each day, so I added a little chalkboard easel to tally it up. Each time I finish a glass I make a hash mark until I've reached my goal! This is also really fun to use for guests as a mini menu board to show all the fun flavors you have to serve.
Now you're all set up and ready to make delicious sparkling water at home anytime! I love the convenience of having everything I need in one spot, and the variety of having so many flavors to choose from so I don't get bored. Plus, all the little reminders will keep me on track for my New Year's Resolution.
