I started wearing glasses when I was 4 years old. In the eighties, when glasses were not cute and stylish, but thick, clunky, and oh so unflattering. It was like a miracle when I had laser eye correction in my early twenties and I wasn't dependent on them anymore. Of course, my doctor told me that the surgery would not change the natural aging process of my eyes and I would likely need reading glasses someday. But when you're 25 that day seems like a lifetime away so I never gave it another thought.
Fast forward 15 years and I've recently celebrated a milestone birthday (you know, the one that rhymes with "shorty") and now that someday is here. I find myself squinting more often and holding my books farther and farther away to be able to read clearly. I realized it was time for readers, but my inner 4 year old was scared that I wouldn't find something that I would like to wear. But thanks to Foster Grant Readers, finding awesome reading glasses is super easy (and I look great too).
Reading Glasses You'll Love to Wear
Reading is a huge part of my life, every day. I love to spend time reading to my twin boys, and if they are outside playing you'll often find me sitting on the deck with a book of my own. And I can't fall asleep at night without reading a chapter or two, often on my e-reader.With Foster Grant Readers’ affordable prices (they're all under $34.99), I'm able to get readers that work for me, no matter where or how I want to read. I can find super stylish sun readers for the times that I'm relaxing outside with a book, or reading glasses specially designed to work with my e-reader. And my favorite - the 3 in 1 style that lets me go from face to face to computer to print without taking my glasses off and on (a must for a work at home mom). How great is that? And these are truly prescription quality without the prescription price.
As we get older, our vision changes. It's a natural part of the process. But that doesn't mean that those of us that need reading glasses have to sacrifice style. And as much as I may have dreaded the idea of wearing glasses again, I now embrace them for the fun and functional fashion accessory that they can be. With Foster Grant Readers, I never have to worry about looking great when I'm wearing my readers - I can simply enjoy a great new book or spend time reading to my boys. And they think mom looks pretty awesome too.
