Picture books about being yourself to inspire your kids.
Just be yourself.
It's easy to say and sometimes very hard to do. As I've gotten older, I've learned to become more comfortable in my own skin and to appreciate that being true to myself is the only way to go. And if I could go back in time and tell my childhood self that, life would have been much easier.
I can't go back but I can help my own children to learn this lesson. Discovering who you are and accepting yourself is one of the greatest things that you can do to be happy and successful in life. And understanding this needs to start as early as possible.
That's why I'm loving these picture books about being yourself. They are entertaining and fun, with awesome messages of acceptance and self awareness. There's something for everyone here - from real people to animals, and even a friendly ghost.
If you're looking to help your kids with accepting and being themselves, these 16 picture books are a great place to start.
