One of our favorite family projects is our backyard garden. My boys have helped us with planting, watering, and harvesting the garden from the time they could toddle. And now that they are getting bigger, they are excited to help us plan the garden too!
Letting your kids cultivate their own garden is one of the great experiences of childhood. Kids learn so much from gardening - from planning skills to patience as they wait for their plants to grow. And of course, they learn where food comes from and hopefully are willing to try the vegetables that they have helped to grow!
If your family is new to gardening, or just looking for fun garden activities for kids to try, you'll find lots of ideas here. From free printables to sensory play to garden recipes, I have everything you need for a fun family garden experience.
