One of my favorite things about January is that we get to kick off a new year of Family Dinner Book Club, and this year might be the best one yet!
This year, our Family Dinner Book Club theme is A Year of Celebrations. My co-hosts and I are looking past the traditional holidays you may be used to, and giving you fun, festive ideas for celebrations all year long!
As in the past, every month will be featured around a children's book. Jodie from Growing Book by Book will introduce you to the book for the month and give you conversation starters to help spark interesting dinner time conversations.
Sarah from Chef Sarah Elizabeth will bring you a mouth watering themed menu inspired by the book of the month and fun ways to create a festive tablescape your family with love.
And I will give you a FREE printable set with ideas for hands-on activities or crafts to tie it all together.
Sounds fun right?
Let's dive right in with our January New Year celebration!
Family Dinner Book Club Celebrates the New Year
We're kicking things off by celebrating the new year with a fabulous picture book, Freedom Soup. In this story, a grandmother teaches her granddaughter about Haitian independence while they make their family's traditional New Year's dish. It's a joyful celebration of family and freedom!
Here's what you need to join us for this month's Family Dinner Book Club:
1. Grab a copy of Freedom Soup, then head to Growing Book by Book for conversation starters.
2. Click here for Chef Sarah Elizabeth's themed menu.
3. Enter your email below to have the FREE printable activity set delivered to your inbox! You'll get some fun facts about the history of the holiday, a place to record your own holiday traditions, and fun activity ideas.
You'll also get each month's new printable delivered automatically on the first of the month (you may unsubscribe at any time).
